|Established in 1978, Yamada high school in its 40th year is the second
youngest high school amongst fourteen public city high schools in Nagoya.
Located in the west of Nagoya in a convenient and quiet area with almost
800 students, the general daily curriculum consists of seven first year
classes, seven second year classes and six third year classes respectively.
With more than ten thousand graduates to date, under the school motto
"Encouraging and nurturing young people to be as adaptable, strong
and sound as young bamboo"
teachers enthusiastically educate each individual in a friendly yet firm
Yamada high school's tradition of "Morning Reading" allows students
to settle and focus before main classes begin, and also helpful in developing
students' scholastic ability.
Aimed at understanding the importance and fragility of human life and our
surrounding environment, students are educated early in the use of first
aid devices such as the AED (automatic external defibrillator) in order
to preserve the lives of heart attack victims, and an environmental study
of the Sinkawa River to maintain the cleanliness of our river system.
We will continue to strive to achieve, in various aspects, the growth of
students and staff alike so as it to create a school that is energetic
I would like to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support.
